Pennyhill Park was the first of our hotels to open under the Exclusive name and over the ensuing years, the family has evolved and expanded, not only in quantity and quality but in heart and soul, innovation and customer experiences. You, the guest are at the very heart of everything we do.

Food is the heartbeat of our hotels and venues underpinned by highly talented chefs and the finest, freshest seasonal ingredients, more often than not supplied directly from our brimming kitchen gardens. In many cases, the kitchens are also provided with fresh chicken, duck or quail eggs, honey or meat cuts from our livestock.

With a fine sense of Britishness running through our core, we employ the cream of the crop of chefs from across the country, work with as many local suppliers as we can and serve numerous British products including Nyetimber English sparkling wine (West Sussex and Hampshire), Hildon Water (Hampshire) and locally produced fruit juices to name but three.


Our determination to stand out from the crowd and offer our guests a different and refreshing stay each time led us to present rooms and suites throughout the four hotels that are uniquely designed and styled – no two are the same offering guaranteed diversity on every visit. 
Great bedrooms demand exceptional beds and with a long term objective to create the ‘perfect sleep’ for guests, English handcrafted EPOC mattresses are standard in the hotels along with a choice of pillows. And the final piece of the bedroom jigsaw is of course, the bathroom, an often neglected and forgotten space and one that Exclusive has taken to heart. Look out for under-floor heating, double baths with inbuilt Champagne buckets, a horizontal experience shower, chromatherapy and hydrotherapy baths, dinner plate sized showerheads, shower rain-bars, a yin-yang bath and several private open air hot tubs.

As the business grew and developed, so did the needs and desires of our discerning guests who are seeking more than merely a luxurious room, a fabulous dinner and a full English. To meet these new found wishes, we introduced a series of engaging and entertaining past-times. The golf clubs came into the fold in 1989 and 1994 and were quickly followed by The Spa at Pennyhill Park, a wine tasting cellar, tennis courts, a resident falconer, cinema room, karaoke klub, and more recently, a treatment room in a converted potting shed!

When opening The Bakery at Pennyhill Park, we really felt it would be a missed opportunity not to open it up to our guests. So in addition to providing the hotel with all its bread and pastry needs, The Bakery also offers regular bakery masterclasses for guests – but be quick, places sell out quickly!

Born out of our great passion for food and dining, SEASON, The Exclusive Cookery School opened in July 2015 in the stunning grounds of Lainston House. The school is housed in a renovated 17th century well house and is just a stone’s throw from Lainston’s brimming kitchen garden.

To broaden Exclusive’s appeal right across our diverse customer base, the two Venues allowed us to develop highly creative destinations that meet a different need to the hotels. They each have a philosophy of injecting a sense of fun and creativity into meetings, training and events and are also stunning for picture perfect weddings.

Our relationship with the RFU began after Pennyhill Park hosted the All Blacks to great acclaim during the 1999 Rugby World Cup held in England. We built a training pitch for the team and England went on to win the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Pennyhill Park is now on its third incarnation of that pitch, the RFU has built its own state-of-the-art indoor training facility and the hotel played host to England, South Africa, Argentina and the eventual winners of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, the All Blacks.

We take reducing the impact on the environment very seriously and take strong measures to ensure the products and services we deliver are as environmentally friendly as possible. Our over-riding aim is to be a 'zero direct to landfill' business. 
From our kitchen gardens and local food suppliers reducing our food miles, low voltage LED light bulbs and woodchip biomass boilers to purchasing our main electricity from 100% renewal sources and installing electric car charging stations to name but a few, we became the proud recipients of the AA Eco Friendly Hotel Group of the Year 2015.

The Exclusive Chefs’ Academy was launched in 2014 to ‘grow our own’ talented and passionate chefs of the future – we wanted to increase opportunities for chefs within Exclusive and help them develop their skills and progress their careers. The programme offers a wide range of experiences around our many diverse and award-winning restaurants, extensive conference, banqueting and pastry kitchens and draws on the vast experience of our talented chefs.
