Mark Abbott will be Matt Worswick at The Latymer to present you with a five-course tasting menu, three courses cooked by Mark Abbott and two courses cooked by Matt Worswick.

About Mark Abbott

Mark Abbott is Head Chef at the 2 michelin star restaurant Midsummer House in Cambridge. He  has been working at Midsummer House for the past 8 years. He joined in 2010 as chef de partie and was made head chef four years later.

Mark Abbot came from a farming background in County Antrim in Northern Ireland. He was drawn to the kitchen after completing work experience at a local hotel. Mark learned his kitchen skills under the tutorage of Michael Deane at Haydon Deane in Helen’s Bay, County Down, where Michael Deane earned his first Michelin star.

Mark then developed his skill set further at the renowned Gleaneagles Hotel working under the inspirational two Michelin starred Andrew Fairlie. After he moved to Paul Kitching’s Michelin starred restaurant 21212 in Edinburgh before seizing the opportunity to work with Daniel Clifford at Midsummer House.
