Join us in the Bybrook where Rob Potter and his brigade will prepare a five-course Michelin-starred dinner followed by a talk by Matt Banahan, England, Bath and Gloucester Rugby.  There will also be an opportunity to ask Matt about his life and career.

Matt Banahan

Matt Banahan, a native to Jersey, was involved in the RGU's Junior National Academy at London Irish before joining Bath in 2006.   Initially playing in the second row as a lock, he switched to wing to make the most of his powerful size, strength and speed.

Making 26 first grade appearances and finished the 2007/2008 season as the club's top try scorer.  Also capable of playing at centre he made in excess of 250 appearances for Bath

After 12 years at Bath, Matt moved to Gloucester Rugby in the summer of 2018 where he made a significant contribution in his first season in Cherry and White, making 24 appearances, scoring seven tries.

Internationally Matt has won 16 caps for England. 

Banahan announced that the 2020/21 season would be his last as a professional rugby player and he is looking to go out with a bang at Gloucester Rugby.
