at Lainston House
Family and friends ‘bubble’ staycations are all the rage! And here at Lainston House we can create a number of perfect pockets to ensure your group is together and safe and able to enjoy an outstanding stay.
Perhaps you are a group of 8 – booking double and or twin rooms – we would allocate the 4 rooms in the Loggia Wing with a couple of suites and bedrooms. This area is separate from the main house and has direct access onto the south lawn into the grounds. These rooms are dog friendly too! The suites would offer lounge areas and the Mountbatten, a private dining room will be allocated for the duration of your stay for breakfast and dinner – or perhaps dine al fresco, in private too, in the Pavilion on the south lawn.
If you are looking for a special dinner, Chef’s Table is an excellent option to choose one night, offering an exclusive menu brought to you by the chefs at your own table overlooking the kitchens. Lunch being a bit more informal could be a wonderful picnic in the grounds, or a bite to eat on the terrace. Book a private class at Season our cookery school for a great fun learning experience – great for all the family!
Different group size – no problem! There are a number of different areas around the property with a limited number of bedrooms off one staircase or corridor, two, three, four, five, six, seven… or even a whole wing of 14! And dining up to 30 people is fine too!
If you want to get out and about there is loads to do in the local area – visit Jane Austen country and Winchester city including the Cathedral and The Great Hall with the medieval ‘King Arthur’s Round Table’. Paultons Park, Marwell Zoo and the Winchester Science Centre are all on the doorstep for family fun. And the Bombay Sapphire Distillery for a great experience for the grown-ups! Lainston House is a great place to stay for a few days or more!
