Our afternoon tea is a modern take on the British classic, made with fresh seasonal ingredients. We'll reserve you a table in one of our elegant dining spaces; wherever is most comfortable on the day.
You can upgrade on the day to a sparkling afternoon tea if you fancy some fizz, or perhaps just order a glass of wine or cocktail too. There’s also a children’s menu for our younger diners.

Jane Austen Afternoon Tea
Celebrating the renowned author's 250th Birthday
Step into the world of Jane Austen with our elegant Regency-inspired afternoon tea at Lainston House. From the month of May enjoy our traditional afternoon tea with a nod to Jane Austen and in July and August savour delicate pastries and cakes influenced by 18th-century flavours, alongside a selection of the finest teas.
Afterwards, borrow a novel from our Austen collection and retreat to a quiet corner, just as Jane herself might have done. Or take a turn about the gardens and grounds in true Regency fashion, discovering the beautiful Jane Austen roses newly planted this year in honour of the celebrations.
