Sports Training Facility
We have been extremely proud to accommodate a world class international rugby pitch since 2003. Pennyhill have committed to work closely with the RFU to develop an outstanding new indoor sports training facility. Facilities include a state-of-the-art gymnasium, 40m x 40m 4G indoor pitch, an outdoor sprint track and changing facilities.
Pennyhill Park would be delighted to discuss hire of the facility for professional sporting groups.
The Pitch
The pitch is 100 metres x 70 metres with an additional training area 50 metres x 30 metres situated at one end. It is seeded with the DESSO GrassMaster system, replicating the world renowned pitch at Twickenham Stadium. We use a high grass seed percentage for high wear tolerance, the turf is a mixture of 35% Fandango (Perennial Rye grass), 35% Flamenco (Perennial Rye grass), and 30% Swing (strong creeping red fescue). The pitch is fertilised and fed all year round and has a hunter full irrigation system to keep it looking its best at all times.
