An immersive escape of breathwork, cold exposure and low impact movement to help you move better, focus on the importance of recovery and ultimately restore body and mind. Join trainer David Jackson who will lead you through breathwork sessions designed to help you de-stress. Get to grips with the effects of cold exposure and heat therapy at the beautiful Pennyhill Park spa with ex-Olympian Keri-anne Payne. The weekend will also give you the opportunity to get involved in low impact functional movement and fitness training options with Oyogo trainer James Stirling, to learn more about form in fitness, leaving you with new found skills from the weekend.

Throughout your stay you'll have access to the hotel, spa and 120 acres of the Pennyhill Park estate to make your own. We encourage you to take a walk, relax in the spa and do what makes you feel good, whilst taking in everything you've learnt and experienced during the weekend.

MEET THE TRAINERS

KERI-ANNE PAYNE

Keri-anne Payne is best known as a double open water swimming 10 km world champion and silver Olympic medallist. After retiring in 2017, Keri-anne founded Straight-Line Swimming to share her love of open water swimming and develop the next generation of coaches and open water swimmers. After qualifying over 550 coaches, Keri-anne continues to expand her mission to encourage more people into the world of open water.

COLD WATER EXPOSURE, HEAT THERAPY AND SPA USE
Explore your way through Pennyhill Park’s beautiful spa, with Ex-Olympian Keri-anne Payne. Ease yourself out of your comfort zone by flitting between cold and hot therapies. Pennyhill Park Spa’s countless thermal opportunities offer you the chance to dip in the cold of the plunge pools and ice bath, test your capacity in the ice igloo or enjoy the gently heated laconians, steam rooms and saunas. Keri-anne will guide you through these unique thermal encounters, offering advice on how best to cope with these low level stresses and how best to transfer these skills into day to day life

JAMES STIRLING

James Stirling, also known as London Fitness Guy is a qualified PT and social media content creator. London Fitness Guy began his career training the contestants of ITV’s The X Factor, and has since trained a variety of sports professionals, musicians and TV personalities. His experience training clients of all abilities led to the creation of his app PWER, the most accessible workout platform on the market, which now motivates a global community to regularly exercise.

LOW IMPACT FUNCTIONAL FITNESS
Fitness doesn’t have to be scary - understand how to make the most out of your workouts by slowing things down and making the most of each and every movement. Join this low impact training option with Oyogo trainer James - get to grips with form and function with a low impact bodyweight and free-weight fitness session, come away feeling as though you can implement these techniques into your fitness journey.

DAVID JACKSON

David Jackson aka ‘Jacko’ is a Master Instructor with the Oxygen Advantage. A former professional rugby player, accredited UKSCA Strength & Conditioning coach, NASM performance enhancement & corrective exercise specialist on a mission to make breathwork a normal part of our everyday lives. In 2013 a traumatic brain injury and a seizure on the rugby pitch forced him to retire from professional rugby and also impacted his breathing patterns negatively for years. Now as a Master Instructor with the Oxygen Advantage, he works with clients ranging from fitness and sports enthusiasts looking to improve their sporting performance, to GP doctor referrals with clients needing to address stress and anxiety issues through breathing, and everything in between.

DEEPLY RESTORATIVE BREATHWORK
This session is focused on guiding the participants into a state of deep relaxation and balance in the nervous system. This deep breath-work session will give your body and mind the opportunity to decompress and repair vital functions. Join David for a complete switch-off and reset session that will leave you feeling calm, rebalanced and ready to tackle whatever comes next.

RECOVERY BREATHWORK
Join David for this recovery breathwork session with an emphasis on optimising breath to calm the nervous system. We spend our lives in a constant state of ‘on’-  allow yourself to recover. Expect low level strength conditioning whilst being led through breathing exercises in order to understand how best to reset. Allow yourself that all important time to recover. You may not think you need it now, but it will likely come in handy at some point in your life. Seize this opportunity and use it to your advantage!

WELCOME LUNCH SERVED IN THEMIS SPA RESTAURANT
12pm - 1pm

Leave your weekend bag at the hotel reception for check-in later and head on over to the spa with your swimmers and fitness gear for your first day of high performance fitness. Your key will be waiting for you at spa reception after your sessions. Then we'll start with a warm welcome and two course light lunch in Themis restaurant with juices, to fuel you up before heading into the gym for the first of our sessions.

Join Oyogo trainer, Ex-Rugby professional David Jackson for a fascinating talk and Q&A about his experience as an professional rugby player and learn more about how to utilise the benefits of cold water exposure and breathwork techniques. Listen to David explain how cold exposure can be used in everyday life to de-stress and reset as well as David’s journey from pro-rugby player to breathwork coach.

Latymer, is our 5 AA Rosette and Michelin starred restaurant. Led by Head Chef Steve Smith, you have the opportunity to experience the flavour of refinement, with a Discovery Tasting Menu that is out of this world.

RECOVERY BREATHWORK WITH DAVID JACKSON

BREAKFAST IN THEMIS WITH JUICES AND COFFEE

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast after your performance breathwork, or if you prefer an earlier start to your day, you're welcome to eat breakfast before the breathwork session in Hillfield restaurant and simply come along for a replenishing juice or water. A gentle reminder, check out is by 11am, so we recommend checking out before the day begins, or during the breakfast break.

COLD WATER EXPOSURE, HEAT THERAPY AND SPA USE WITH KERI-ANNE PAYNE
11.30 - 12.30pm

LUNCH IN THEMIS
1 - 2.30pm

Enjoy some much needed nourishment after the mornings sessions with a two course lunch in Themis, alongside juices and water. The trainers will be joining you for lunch, so this is a great opportunity to ask any questions from the sessions and say goodbye before they head out.

TIME TO SPA, REST AND RELAX
3 - 6pm

Make the most of your time at Pennyhill Park spa, you're welcome to stay until close, giving you time to take in everything you've learnt over the weekend. Experience a range of pools and jacuzzis both indoors and outdoors, an extensive range of thermal cabins of differing temperatures, humidities and aromas, along with experience showers, relaxations rooms and of course our gym that you are already accustomed with. Oh and if you'd like to finish your experience in the most indulgent way, why not book one of our spa treatments before you go? Just make sure to add on when booking as these can get snapped up quick.
