Whats Involved

We create happiness in amazing places and every single one of those places has incredible people, who provide show stopping service. We want to create an institution that allows those people to learn, develop and ultimately grow into our future stars of food and beverage. 

Tapping into some of the industry's leading providers, experts and trainers we will deliver a programme like no other. 

Being part of the wider team is also a key way you're going to learn. You'll therefore work in our food and beverage team when you're not off on training. You'll rotate round departments including restaurant, bar, afternoon tea and banqueting. Each will include different shift patterns so you'll need to be flexible. 

With six different properties across the South of England, you will be based at one for the first year of the programme, with your second year including an option to move elsewhere. We'll chat to you about which property works best once you've applied!

The programme is 2 years long. We will start late Summer 2020 and the initial course will end at the same 2 years thereafter. 

There will be quite a lot of travel involved, a driving licence will therefore be preferable.

Chris Tod leading the Academy of Hospitality

You will work with Chris throughout your journey in the Academy.  

Chris has worked at Exclusive since 2012 and has worked in a number of different roles and departments during his time here. Now he is responsible for helping others learn and develop and he couldn’t be happier.  

His main area of expertise is spirits and cocktails – having had stints as Bar Manager at South Lodge Hotel between 2014 and 2016 and Sales Executive for Diageo. During his time in both roles, he has built up a network of suppliers, trainers and experts who have both helped him and the teams around him. He will be tapping into that network to provide you with a well rounded and meaningful training experience.
