Real Life Weddings at Royal Berkshire

How did you both meet and how did the proposal occur?

We met online via the App Bumble. Danielle was living in Clapham and Danny in Guildford. The first date was around Bank in London and the rest is history.
The proposal happened in November 2021 in the beautiful Caribbean sea in the Dominican Republic!

What did you love most about Royal Berkshire?

We fell in love with how stunning the venue was and was able to fit within our budget – it far outweighed all of the other venues we had visited.
It also sold it to us that the staff we absolutely brilliant – always so helpful and friendly!

Did you have a theme or a particular style for your day?

Fun, fun and more fun!
Our colour scheme was minimalist, whites and golds, the colour came from our fabulous and fun guests!

Tell us all about THE outfits…..

We both work in a corporate environment so Danny wanted something special that didn’t feel like his everyday suit.
Danny was adamant from the beginning he was wearing a tux!
Danielle wanted something classic and elegant to match and found the perfect dress at Tilly Mint Weddings (Fleet).
Adaptations were made by the talented Zuzana at Tailoress Designs (Church Crookham), she was able to create the fabulous bow on the back of the dress.

What do you remember most about the day itself?

Our four legged friend walking our rings down the aisle… and who could forget our surprise singer!
The whole day was a dream from start to finish, captured perfectly by Richard Sealey Videography and Adam Bayford Photography.

Were there any special moments or surprises?

Dominika made us feel so at ease, when we said we wanted our pup to be the ring bearer and then wanted to do a shot at the end of the aisle after the ceremony she just smiled and made it happen!
We had a number of speeches before and after the dinner which included the bride and maid of honour which was important to us. All of the speeches were different and came together perfectly!

What tips or advice would you give to future couples?

Enjoy every second of it! Whilst some find it stressful we tried to just enjoy the planning and our day – it meant we have the best memories!
