Overnight Stays

Check-in is from 3pm, though if you arrive early we can keep hold of your bags until your room is ready.
Check-out is by 11am, but you still have access to the spa until a little later so you can pop your bags with us whilst you finish your stay.
Free of charge, unless you have booked a special rate, until 48 hours before arrival, after this time the full charge applies. Our special rates cannot be cancelled or transferred, so please check the rate details when booking.

Got a little one with you? We have cots available for free and z-beds for children for £25 per night, per child. Call us to check availability and capacity for your preferred room type. The spa is mainly an adult only environment but children can use the indoor pool and outdoor swim pond in dedicated splash times, see below for more details.

Want to bring your beloved pooch? We have a selection dog-friendly rooms you can pick from and for £50 per dog, your furry friend can stay and we'll equip your room with a dog bed, bowl and some doggie treats! Dogs are welcome in the bar and lounge but if they are having a bit a funny five minutes or causing upset our other guests, we will kindly ask if you can relocate you to another area - don't worry there's plenty of grounds for them to enjoy!

Please note: Tom Kemble at The Pass is an adult only environment to retain a calm atmosphere. We have other options in The Camellia or Botanica restaurants for children under the age of 12.

Two AA Rosette winning restaurant offering mouth-watering dishes made from the hotel's walled kitchen garden and the finest local Sussex ingredients.

Open everyday to everyone, Botanica is a casual restaurant where robes can be worn until 6pm, offering a Mediterranean influenced menu which draws on the South Downs for fresh and seasonal ingredients.

All Day Dining | Everyday 8am - 6pm (open until 8pm during June, July and August)
Dinner | Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6pm - 9pm

We recommend booking advance so you don't miss out! Also let us know of any allergens or dietary requirements when booking so we can prepare something suitable and just as tasty!

Enjoy this British tradition in The Drawing Room, Camellia restaurant, one of our lounges or out on the terrace to soak up some Summer sunshine. Make sure you book in advance and let us know any allergens and dietary requirements.

Bookings made directly with us;
Access to the spa is from 3pm on the day of arrival, until 2pm on the day of departure. If you are splashing out on a Master Suite or Suite with a Hot Tub, you can splash out at the spa a little longer and enjoy access between 12pm on the day of arrival until 3pm on day of departure. 

Bookings not made directly with us (via online travel agents);
Access to the spa is restricted from 3pm on the day of arrival, until 12pm on the day of departure.

Whilst the spa is primarily an adult only environment to keep a calm and relax atmosphere, we do have dedicated splash times when children under 16 years are allowed in the indoor swimming pool and outdoor swim pond (not the hydrotherapy pool, or thermal area).

8am - 9:30am and 4pm -5:30pm

Our 2,100 sq.ft. gym has state-of-the-art equipment with a training zone with TRX rig, terrace for 'alfresco' training, dedicated spin studio and holistic studio - just ask a member of the team if you need any advice. We also have a range of classes and offer fantastic personal training sessions if you're looking for a more focused and personalised fitness experience.

The Spa


As detailed above under Restaurants, as a spa goer, you can even head up in your robe!

Providing a refreshing range of drinks, alongside some tasty treats and light bites, including gelato, we don't blame you if you spend all day by the pool! Open during summer when the British weather allows!

We all love a relaxing treatment and that's why we can get pretty booked up! We recommend booking in advance but if you have left it until you arrive, head to reception and we'll see if we can fit you in.

From manicures and pedicures through to a variety of make-up experiences, you can sit back and relax as you're beautified, all with an exceptional glass of Ridgeview English sparking wine only a tap away!



We love to welcome all our guests and strive to ensure the whole hotel is accessible to everybody. 

Our public areas are accessible for wheelchair users, with the exception of The Cellar. A fridge can be requested for storing medications in bedrooms. 

Several of our rooms and suites are accessible for wheelchair users and have emergency pull cords, handrails, accessible showers and low level basins.
