In 2019, Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens opened its doors after a closure of 10 years, this magnificent Grade 1 listed garden was nearly lost forever and has been the subject of the largest garden restoration in England and possibly Europe. 

These spectacular and ancient gardens are now open for the public to enjoy once again. Many people in the local area have fond memories of their visits and life around these gardens, and we aim to protect this magnificent heritage so that future generations get to enjoy these beautiful green spaces and flora and fauna within.  

There is plenty of space for children to run around and explore, with the resident Wallabies and doll house exhibition being a highlight for young and old.

With more than 500 acres of gardens, woodlands and a nature reserve, there are plenty of things to do with kids at Wakehurst:

Tree Trunk Trek - Crawl, climb and get to know Wakehurst's trees on the adventurous log trail in Coates Wood.
Natural Play Spaces - Natural play spaces are scattered across Wakehurst for kids to explore during summer holidays. Look out for woven willow structures to run through, a labyrinth, an acoustic chair and some talking totem poles.  
Kids activities at the Millennium Seed Bank - Discover the underground secrets of the Millennium Seed Bank on a day out with the kids and spy on scientists at work in the world's largest seed conservation project.

Visit High Places Horsham to start your aerial adventure, choosing from one of their activity packages.

This 90 acre country park includes an easy-going lakeside walk, and adventure-style play area 'Dinosaur Island' and beautiful nature conservation area that supports all kinds of wildlife; lizards, kingfishers, nightingales and various butterflies and dragonflies. Water sports are also available on the lake.

High Places Clip and Climb is a new and innovative indoor adventure concept. Our colourful arena features 11 fun themed climbing experiences and 19 individual climbing lines up to a maximum height of 7.5 metres, each showcasing striking designs. From 4 years of age to adults!

Go Ape Crawley resides in the largest and most popular park in West Sussex. Tilgate Park features our duo of Tree Top Adventure and Tree Top Junior, each offering a huge package of fun neatly tied up in a slightly different way.

Holmbush do a range of exciting activities including, archery, airsoft, 4x4 driving, rifle shooting and axe throwing. Suitable for children aged 10 years and up.

Brighton Pier epitomises the traditional great British seaside attraction - fun fair rides, the arcade, traditional stalls, ice creams, candy floss and rock, fish and chips, and souvenirs! Fun for all the family.

A great family day out. Considered one of the best small zoos in the country, the animals are only half the fun.  A large play area zoned for different ages, a maze, indoor and outdoor attractions, and the Hello Kitty secret garden offering rides and character days.
