The Hotel
What time is check-in and check-out?

We invite all guests to check in from 3pm and ask that you have checked out of your room by 11am.

If you have booked one of our Suites* then we offer an extended check out time of midday. 

If you arrive before your room is ready or want to explore the grounds after check-out we'd be happy to store your luggage for you. 

*excluding the Hot Tub Suite 

How do I get to the hotel?

If arriving from the north of Castle Combe, please follow The Street round to the left when arriving into the village, head over the Bybrook bridge and the hotel entrance is on your right

If arriving from the south of Castle Combe (via Ford), the hotel entrance will be on your left, just before crossing the Bybrook bridge

Is parking available onsite?

Yes, we have a large car park available free of charge to guests staying and dining with us.

Do you have electric vehicle charge points?

We have 6 electric charging bays available in the hotel car park and 4 in our golf club car park. These are available to hotel guests on a first come first served basis and are currently priced at 50p per kWh + £1 connection fee.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, it's free of charge, unless you have booked a special rate, until 2 days before arrival, after this time the full charge applies

If you have booked a self-catered stay at Baker's Cottage then cancellation is free of charge until 14 days before arrival

How can I pay for my booking?

As rummaging around for coins becomes a thing of the past, we’ve now become cashless, so take your pick of card, phone or even watch to pay!

Everything you have throughout your stay can be charged to your room and settled on departure. 

Do you have a gym and other fitness facilities?

Yes, The Loft gym can be found at our golf clubhouse. More information about the gym can be found here

We also have a tennis court and running maps available via a QR Code from reception

Bringing children aged 0-12 years?

We have cots available for free and z-beds for children under 12. Some of our rooms also have sofa beds that are suitable for children up to the age of 16. Child's bed & breakfast is charged at £40 per night, per child. Our Cosy and Smart rooms don't accommodate cots or extra beds but we have rooms in all other categories that do. Call us to check availability and capacity for your preferred room type

Bybrook restaurant is an adult only environment to retain a calm and quiet atmosphere, but we have dining available for all in our pub, The Castle Inn, along with our casual dining menu served in our lounges or you're welcome to order room service

Can I bring my dog?

We have a selection of dog-friendly rooms in our Mews Cottages for you to pick from. For an additional charge of £40 per stay for a maximum of two dogs, your furry friend can stay and we'll equip your room with a dog bed, bowl and some doggie treats! 

Dogs are welcome in the front hall lounge but if they are having a funny five minutes or causing upset for our other guests we will kindly ask if we can relocate you to another area - don't worry there's plenty of grounds for them to enjoy!

Is there free WiFi?

Yes, we offer complimentary WiFi throughout the resort

What's the nearest train station?

Chippenham Train Station is nearest to us which is 6.5 miles or a 16 minute drive away. There is a permanent taxi rank at the front of the station

Do you have any beauty or spa facilities?

We don't have a spa or treatment facilities 

What is accessibility like at the hotel?

We love to welcome all our guests and strive to ensure the whole hotel is accessible to everybody

Our public areas are accessible for wheelchair users, but unfortunately our guest toilets do not have disabled access

We have a beautiful Cosy room in our Mews Cottages, called Homestead, which is accessible for wheelchair users and has been adapted for easy and comfortable use. The room has handrails, an accessible shower and a low level basin in the bathroom. A fridge can also be requested for storing medications in bedrooms. Please request these at the time of booking so we can be sure to accommodate you comfortably

What time do you serve breakfast? Why am I being asked to book a breakfast time?

Breakfast is served 7am to 10.30am everyday

We are currently asking for a breakfast time to be booked in advance to allow for safe, distanced dining at a time that suits you. Our team will be in touch prior to arrival

We offer an all day casual dining menu which can be enjoyed in the lounge spaces during your stay

The Castle Inn
Our pub is just a short walk up into Castle Combe village offering an array of delicious dishes

Dinner 6.00pm - 8.30pm
Drinks and snacks are available from midday everyday

What time do you serve afternoon tea?

Afternoon Tea and cream tea are served in our lounges everyday from 1.00pm - 4.00pm

Do you offer room service?

Yes, we offer 24 hour room service - please refer to the room service menu on the tablet in your room
