Spend an immersive day exploring the art of seafood, from expert fish selection to precise preparation and cooking techniques. Leading the experience is the UK’s only Fish Sommelier, Andrej Urosevic. Trained at Le Cordon Bleu Paris, Andrej has built an impressive career spanning Michelin-starred kitchens in Paris and Germany, before opening his own acclaimed restaurant, Andrej’s Oyster Bar & Restaurant in Düsseldorf. Today, he is recognised globally as a leading authority on seafood, captivating an audience of over 1.65 million followers through his celebrated digital series, dedicated to his mission to “cook every fish in the world.”
For this exclusive, one-day event, Andrej will be joined by Tom Hamblet, Head Chef of The Avenue at Lainston House and winner of BBC MasterChef: The Professionals 2023, alongside Phil Yeomans, Executive Chef at Lainston House.
Together, they will guide you through a hands-on masterclass centred around three sustainably sourced fish. Guests can expect expert insight into preparation, creative recipe development, and refined cooking techniques - an unforgettable culinary experience for seafood enthusiasts of all levels.
You’ll kick off your day with a warm drink and a fresh pastry - the perfect chance to relax, mingle with fellow food lovers, and get to know your classmates before stepping into the kitchen for a hands-on cooking session led by Andrej.
Working in pairs at your own workstation, you’ll dive straight into the action with expert guidance from not one, but two award-winning chefs. Following Tom and Andrej’s demonstrations, you’ll put new skills into practice as you prepare some delicious food, tasting and enjoying your creations as you go.
Throughout the class, Andrej and Tom will be right there with you — offering advice, showing techniques, sharing their culinary know-how, and sprinkling in plenty of tips, tricks, and sharing industry stories!
