Experience fire cooking like never before! Join us in the Kitchen Garden at Lainston House for an immersive outdoor culinary adventure featuring our Vulcanus grill and plancha. With the garden as your backdrop, it’s the perfect setting to master the art of open‑flame, wilderness‑style cooking.
Our experts will guide you through the essentials, understanding fire and heat management, creating multiple cooking zones, selecting the best quality wood, and getting the most out of both the Vulcanus grill and the plancha.
You’ll then cook alongside our chef tutor as they demonstrate how to create an irresistible feast over live fire.
This hands-on class will leave you inspired, well‑fed, and quite possibly with a queue of neighbours hoping for leftovers!

- Fire roasted Aubergines, charred spring onions with mango sauce, lime yoghurt with curried sesame salt, served in crispy parathas
- Vulcanus ember butter scallops with burnt orange and coriander honey vinaigrette
- Smoked coffee chicken legs with spiced coconut peppercorn sauce and charred okra
- Onglet marinaded in Annato, maple syrup with charred urfa chilli with ember roasted garlic, charred lime butter mop sauce
- Roasted charred peaches with amaretto creme fraiche and biscotti crumble
