Real Life Weddings at Fanhams Hall

How did you both meet and how did the proposal occur?

We met on holiday about 16 years ago.

Darren went on holiday with his friends to Las Vegas for his 50th birthday and I met him in Mexico after and he proposed on his 50th Birthday. Very surprised, he had arranged dinner on the beach, had a lady playing music, and even a photographer, along with champagne and flowers.

What did you love most about Fanhams Hall?

I must say that all the staff at Fanhams Hall were absolutely fabulous they went above and beyond on the day of our wedding. Special thanks to Erhan and Tabbie, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.

They certainly made us feel at ease. Our guests also thought the same and everybody loved Fanhams Hall too. The sun was out too so made for a perfect day.

Did you have a theme or particular style for your day?

We went for blush tones. We had The Wedding Lounge decorate the ceremony room and the reception room and they made it look beautiful with the blossom trees.

Also Evie from Bella Collection that did my stationary, that was beautiful too.

Tell us all about the dress...

I didn’t think that I would find the one after going to quite a few shops. I eventually found it, I loved the style -that it was sparkly, fitted, the colour and everyone thought it was beautiful. I had a cathedral veil too.

What do you remember most about the day itself?

I must say how quick the day goes. Truthfully we both loved every minute of the day even though the nerves crept in for me just before walking down the aisle to the ceremony itself.

We both didn’t want the day to end, we had the most amazing day.

Were there any special moments or surprises?

We both loved all of it, the fact that the staff at the venue were so amazing makes it all the more special. They work so hard and long hours but we both couldn’t thank you all enough for making our special day the one that we both loved so much.

What tips or advice would you give to future couples?

Make plenty of lists of what needs to be done and what you both would like.

For me if there is something you want and can afford it then I would say do it. Also it is easier said than done not to get stressed before the big day but on the day it will all fall into place and it is definitely worth it, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
