Barbecue masterclass: Posh BBQ

After enjoying a welcome cuppa and pastry with your fellow classmates, your day will be filled with selecting seasonal veggies and herbs from our kitchen garden and gaining invaluable skills when it comes to different barbecues on the market; preparing and lighting them, and different cooking techniques you can use to bring the very best out of your ingredients.  

Bored of hotdogs, burgers and vegetable kebabs? This one day class will take your barbecue to the next level.  Under the guidance of our expert chef in a relaxed atmosphere you will create an array of delicious food including local Chalk Stream trout cooked on a cedar plank, steak cooked directly on a lump of wood charcoal, and smoked back baby pork ribs so tender from the low and slow cooking process. You will leave us full of knowledge, and food, ready to re-create these tasty dishes back on your garden for family and friends to enjoy.

No need to be a cooking connoisseur here…the class is relaxed, fun, informative and interactive, suiting all abilities. Sharing a Big Green Egg barbecue between two (if you come on your own we will pair you with a classmate), we will work together through the preparation and cooking of each dish, then you can enjoy the fruits of your labour, whilst our cleaning wizards do their magic and hey presto - your cooking station ready for the next dish!
