Woodfired cooking: Speciality breads

After enjoying a welcome cuppa and pastry with your fellow classmates, it’s time to head into the kitchen and embark on a journey with us as we unravel the secrets behind crafting the perfect sourdough, from starter to sensational loaf.

Join us in the converted wellhouse kitchens of Season to learn all about sourdough. We believe that exceptional bread starts with exceptional ingredients. Learn the significance of selecting the right flour, the importance of hydration, and the impact of time on flavour development before you make your very own starter. Next you will master the art of mixing, kneading, shaping and scoring before you learn all about how to bake the bread.  We can just imagine how amazing our kitchens will smell once the breads are baking! 

No need to be a cooking connoisseur here…the class is relaxed, fun, informative and interactive, suiting all abilities. Sharing an oven  between two (if you come on your own we will pair you with a classmate), we will work together through the preparation and cooking of each dish, then you can enjoy the fruits of your labour, whilst our cleaning wizards do their magic and hey presto - your cooking station ready for the next dish!
