Getting ready for Royal Ascot

Every year, our Horse at Pennyhill Park, an Exclusive Hotel & Spa, receives special placement and themed dressing in our entrance hall. This year, the flower display features a miniature race course.

Did you know that at Royal Ascot, the grass is cut to a regulation 4 inches for flat racing and 5 inches for jumps racing?

Hats off to our grounds teams who work hard year in and out on our 621 acres of parkland, to keep our grounds looking beautiful throughout the seasons.

With 35,000 rounds of finely cut sandwiches, 50,000 macaroons and 30,000 chocolate choux éclairs being made for the celebrations at Royal Ascot, Chef Sarah Frankland and the pastry team have also got their hands full. Royal Ascot themed Afternoon tea is served all week in our Ascot Bar at Pennyhill Park, an Exclusive Hotel & Spa.

At the forefront of fashion and style for the British summer season, we will be expecting beautiful fashion pieces on site this week. Iconic accessories to look out for are the beautiful Fascinators and top hats that will be worn and showcased particularly on gold cup day. We are excited to be helping our guests to carry hundreds of their fashion pieces and hat boxes this week.

Did you know that this year will be the first year that jumpsuits will be formally accepted in the Royal Enclosure dress code?

With 51,000 bottles of champagne opened during last year’s celebrations in Ascot, be assured that we will have ice buckets at the ready to pop the cork and celebrate with our guests this week.
