- How many people can we have at our wedding?
We can cater for up to 120 guests for your wedding reception and up to 150 for the evening party
- Will we be able to sample the menu before our wedding day?
Of course! A complimentary food tasting is included within our package so you can try some of our menu options and experience the service all at the same time.
The tasting is a really fun event for you to enjoy, so if you want to make a night away of it just speak to our wedding team who will happily book you a room at The Manor House Hotel or The Castle Inn
- Do you have any vegetarian or vegan menu options?
Absolutely! We have a wide array of menus to choose from, our team of chefs also love chatting to our couples about any special or specific menu requests.
We can also cater for any dietary requirement, we just need to know in advance what requirements your guests have so we can make sure the menu is tweaked and ready for them on the day.
- Do you allow outside catering?
Yes, we do!

- Will our wedding be the only one at The Manor House Golf Club on the day?
We only ever host one wedding ceremony and reception at the golf club on a day!
We do host weddings at The Manor House Hotel at the same time, whilst on the same estate it is very separate to the clubhouse but it may be that photos around the hotel are restricted on your wedding day, you will however have plenty of choice to choose from in the grounds of the golf course
- Can we get married outside at The Manor House Golf Club? And what happens if it rains?
Sadly we don't have anywhere outside that is licensed to host civil ceremonies, but there are endless places in the grounds to have your wedding photos taken after your ceremony inside.
Being a golf course, there are endless amount of umbrellas and golf buggy's available for you to hop on to help get you around the grounds for photos!

- How many bedrooms do you have?
With our signature package you would get a bedroom at the Castle Inn (our pub in the village). We do also have our lovely Waterfall Lodge for up to 8 people, or The Manor House Hotel here on the estate, which is a short 5 minute buggy ride from the Clubhouse with 50 beautiful bedrooms.
- Can I stay the night before?
Its always nice when you are close by the night before and morning of your big day, we have plenty of rooms at the Castle Inn or The Manor House Hotel where you and your family can stay.
We also have a private dining space at the Castle Inn which you can request so you can enjoy a meal together in a nice private area
- What time can our suppliers set up from on the our wedding day?
The room is yours for the whole day so any of your suppliers can set-up from 7am on the morning of the wedding
- When time can we party until on our wedding day?
All of your celebrations including the bar and music will finish at midnight
If you and your guests are staying at The Manor House Hotel, the residents bar stays open until all guests have gone to bed, so you can enjoy a late night tipple if you are staying there
- Can you cut up our wedding cake for us and serve it to our guests in the evening?
Absolutely! Just let us know at your planning meeting how much of your cake you want us to cut, just in case you want to save some for enjoying when you get home! We also like to know what flavours you have chosen in case any of your guests ask
- Do you allow confetti?
Yes we do - the group confetti shot is always one of our favourite photos! We just ask guests use a bio-degradable confetti and that it is thrown outside
- Do you allow fireworks, sky lanterns or sparklers?
Due to the livestock in our surrounding fields we unfortunately aren't able to permit fireworks or sky lanterns. But we love a sparkler send off at the end of the night, another great time to capture some extra special photos!
- What if it rains on our wedding day?
We have plenty of umbrellas and buggy's on hand should you or your guests need to head out into the grounds.
There is plenty of space inside for guests to carry on mingling without worrying about the rain!
- Should we take out wedding insurance?
We always highly advise it, it can give great peace of mind when the unexpected happens!
- Do you have any restrictions about lighting candles?
We love the twinkle a candle gives as the evening draws in! It can make everything look extra magical, we do just ask that candles are placed in sturdy holders, or if you are lining the aisle with them that they are in lanterns, just to be safe
- Is there parking available?
We have plenty of car parking spaces as you arrive to the Club, and your wedding car is welcome to take pride of place right outside the front of the Clubhouse.
- Can we drop our wedding items (favours, name cards, table plan etc.) off to you the day before?
Of course you can, one less thing for you to have to worry about on the morning of your big day. We just ask that everything is clearly labelled with your name and wedding date
- Who will run and look after us on our wedding day?
Our wedding team will be on hand every step of the way during your planning journey, as we get closer to the day we will introduce you to our banqueting manager who will be right by your side on the day itself.
We do always highly recommend hiring a Toastmaster as they are great at making sure your timings run smoothly and that guests are always in the right place at the right time!
- Will the golf club still be open to golfers?
Golf will still be in play on your wedding day, however the course is vast and within the clubhouse itself our weddings and events are held in separate areas including your own private terrace.
