Real Life Weddings at Fanhams Hall

How did you both meet and how did the proposal occur?

We met in 2020 through mutual friends.
Glenn proposed in Gran Canaria, Puerto Mogan, a little fishing village on a bridge.

What did you love most about Fanhams Hall?

The staff were incredible, nothing was too much trouble.

Did you have a theme or particular style for your day?

We wanted a classic white natural wedding with asian twists. A vision board helped to map out our ideas and then it was down to sourcing suppliers, designing stationary and pulling it all together.

Tell us all about the dress...

The dress was an off the shoulder fitted Martina Liana gown with organic edging to the neckline creating the floating off-the-shoulder illusion.

The sheer bodice featured bead-encrusted lace appliqués in geometric linear patterns, and in gentle juxtaposition with the romance of the floral designs.

The gown also featured a detachable ballgown-style overskirt with a leaf design running through both the gown and overskirt. The veil was beaded, scalloped and cathedral length.

What do you remember most about the day itself?

The excitement of getting ready, how beautiful the reception room looked, how calm I was and our stunning ceremony.

Were there any special moments or surprises?

We had some amazing and emotional speeches a surprise saxophonist, and a sparkler exit.

What tips or advice would you give to future couples?

Early planning is key and the last 4 months are the most stressful so try to get organised early!
