Located in the Main House and with stunning views over the lawns courtesy of a large bay window, Lordsmeer is possibly our most spectacular suite of all. A contemporary, spacious, high ceilinged and light room, Lordsmeer has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment. The small seating area provides sumptuous furniture overlooking the grounds of the hotel or a spot to watch the flat-screen television. To the rear of the room is a granite fire place with a large ornate oak mantelpiece. Despite the large oak beams, the bathroom, which is up a few slate steps, is contemporary and offers a large walk-in shower, twin sinks, plasma television and a pretty stained glass window.
This two storey suite is on a grand scale. Located in the Mews Cottages, Ludlow feels more like a private cottage than a hotel suite. As you enter through the front door, the stairs lead you up into the large, high-beamed bedroom featuring original floorboards and stone-work, a super king-sized Colonial bed, seating area and flat screen television. Downstairs there is a very large lounge with oak panelling, open fire place, stained glass window, television and three windows along the length of the cottage letting in plenty of natural daylight. The large bathroom on the ground floor has a whirlpool bath and a large walk in shower. If you get peckish the small kitchen provides facilities for cooking hot snacks and drinks. There is also a small garden to the rear of the cottage with access to this through the kitchen.
Step through the porch into the low-beamed lounge with dining table, spacious sitting room and a wood-burner set in the original decorative fireplace. Up the ancient spiral stone staircase reveals a roll-top bath accented by iconic blue lighting complete with plasma television set into the wall. Complete with twin sinks, large walk-in shower and original stone window frames. To the left, take three more stone steps up into the bedroom – here you’ll find a super king-sized bed with ornate wrought iron bedstead, characteristic lattice windows and views over Castle Combe village. Archway is connected to ‘Marsh Furlong’ through a connecting door in the lounge. If both Archway and Marsh Furlong are taken as a joint booking, this provides a private cottage with a garden, perfect for families.
